Integrating SRH and HIV Programming in a Humanitarian Context

The International Rescue Committee combined quality health services and community engagement strategies to ensure that in-need patients in the northwest districts of Uganda, including an influx of South Sudanese refugees, received comprehensive SRH and HIV care.

MISP Implementation in Jordan

An inter-agency team studied the MISP implementation in Jordan’s Irbid City to evaluate SRH service access for urban refugees. The study revealed lacking SRH services in urban settings, insufficient stakeholder participation, and limited clinical care for patients with STIs and/or histories of sexual violence.

MISP Coordination in Nepal

An evaluation of MISP implementation, as led by an inter-agency team, revealed that MISP activities in Kathmandu and Sindhupalchowk District, Nepal offered sparse, low-quality SRH services. The evaluation also illuminated major gaps in the communities’ understanding of SRH services, importance of receiving care, and understanding of sexual violence and STIs.
